Briget Vee, b. 1995 is a Filipina Queens, NY-based painter, arts educator, and tattoo artist. She received her BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in 2017. She creates heavily with graphite, acrylic, and watercolor paints. The core of her work often seeks to capture moments that evoke nostalgia, identity, and the essence of our being. Landscapes serve as a vehicle for her wanderlust, while portraiture is where her hand feels most at home. Currently, she’s exploring the parallels between traditional mediums and the tattoo machine as it’s the newest tool in her collection. She strives to leave permanent love letters on your skin. On her days off she enjoys cuddling with her pittie Ellie or singing karaoke until her voice is gone.
As an educator, she’s worked with Arts for All, New Alternatives For Children, Marquis Studios, ArtsConnection, the Children’s Museum of the Arts, and various schools and programs to provide a creative outlet for young artists of all backgrounds. She encourages collaborative thinking and hopes her support in resources and knowledge helps bring their imagination to life.
